The latest report confirmed that the new model of Android-based smartphone from Samsung, Galaxy S, is flooding U.S. by carrying different major carriers with different names. According to this giant South Korean phone manufacturer, Samsung will be under four different names based on the carrier it takes.
Speaking of the different names of this Samsung Galaxy S, Verizon Wireless names it Samsung Fascinate, T-Mobile decides Samsung Vibrant as the popular name, AT&T introduces it as Samsung Captivate, whereas Sprint delivers this smartphone to market as Samsung Epic 4G. It is said that Sprint’s Samsung Galaxy S model will be a slide-out QWERTY keypad with built-in video camera at front.
From the various names of this Samsung Galaxy S, it seems that Samsung tries to create a new strategy in marketing this Android smartphone in U.S. especially in North American market. Moreover, to enlarge the coverage, Samsung puts smart strategy by picking more than one carrier so there would be more consumers covered. It means that you don’t have to depend only on particular carrier’s capability or capacity to use this phone in your area. On the other hand, these numbers of Samsung Galaxy S’s names may bring about confusions to many consumers and this may weaken the real Samsung Galaxy S brand.

The iPhone 4 is coming

Not too long ago, there were whispers about a new phone from Apple, and before we know it, the world was taken by storm by the iPhone. As with all of their releases in the last decade or so, Apple have come to be the company that knows how to launch a product, and they have also come to be the company that changes the face of industries with their advanced designs. The iPhone changed the mobile phone world in about five seconds. When the iPhone came out, there was nothing to touch it.
Of course we now have phones like the HTC and the Blackberry models have made advancements too, but there is still an enormous kudos for owning an iPhone. I was recently on Phones4u.co.uk and I saw that they were taking pre orders of the i Phone 4. As soon as I saw that, I knew that this would be a uge leap forward. The 3GS model had made some improvements on the previous model, but the very fact that Apple were calling this model ‘4’, meant that there must have been some serious changes.
Should I Buy the X10?

Whenever it comes to the time when my contract is going to run out, I never have a clue what phone to get next. I normally like to have something pretty advanced, and once I get my hands on something I am pretty good at working out exactly what I can do with it, but my last contract was for two years, and a lot has changed with mobile phones in that time.
I recently stumbled across the www.dialaphone.co.uk website and on there they have a great blog with all sorts of information about a lot of new phones. Looking at this, I have to say that I didn’t really recognise any of the phones, and they all looked more like mini computers than phones to me. That didn’t bother me, of course, but it did make me think that I might struggle to get on with the phone in terms of getting the most out of it.
